# Email allow and block lists for data room links in Peony

Email allow and block lists have been in Peony since April 5, 2026, on the Business plan and above: a link opens only for listed email addresses or domains, and blocked ones are always refused. Since October 21, 2026, a list can hold up to 10,000 entries.

## What does it do?

An allow list limits a link to the email addresses or domains you list, so a forwarded link does not open for anyone else. A block list refuses specific addresses or domains, such as a competitor's.

## Who is it for?

Founders sharing with a known set of funds, advisors restricting a teaser to approved buyers, and teams that must keep a document away from named companies.

## How does it work?

1. Set the link to **Link access** and open **Email-gated access**.
2. Turn on **Verify email**, then **Allow list** or **Block list**.
3. Add addresses or whole domains.

Lists save automatically as you add or remove emails (February 27, 2026). On October 21, 2026, the limit rose to 10,000 entries per list.
