# Q&A in Peony's virtual data room

Data room Q&A has been in Peony since December 24, 2025, on the Data Room plan and above: investors and buyers ask questions inside the data room, and the deal team answers in one place instead of over email. Since January 2, 2026, the people asking can be kept anonymous to other visitors.

## What does it do?

Visitor Q&A moves diligence questions out of the inbox and into the data room. A reviewer posts a question from inside the room, the deal team answers it there, and each question and answer stays with the room's record.

## Who is it for?

Sell-side advisors and banks handling questions from several bidders, private equity teams in diligence, and founders answering investor questions during a raise.

## How does it work?

1. Visitors open the Q&A panel in the data room and submit a question.
2. Your team sees new questions in the room and replies.
3. Answers are visible to the visitors allowed to see them.

Follow-ups: identities of people asking can be hidden from other visitors (January 2, 2026), the Q&A module can be switched on or off per data room (June 2, 2026), and questions can be deleted (June 8, 2026).
