What does it do?
An allow list limits a link to the email addresses or domains you list, so a forwarded link does not open for anyone else. A block list refuses specific addresses or domains, such as a competitor's.
Who is it for?
Founders sharing with a known set of funds, advisors restricting a teaser to approved buyers, and teams that must keep a document away from named companies.
How does it work?
- Set the link to Link access and open Email-gated access.
- Turn on Verify email, then Allow list or Block list.
- Add addresses or whole domains.
Lists save automatically as you add or remove emails (February 27, 2026). On October 21, 2026, the limit rose to 10,000 entries per list.
Which plans include it?
Business and above. See pricing.
How does it compare?
Email and domain restrictions are common in secure document-sharing tools. Pairing an allow list with email verification is the setup the Peony docs recommend for rooms shared by link.

Common questions
Can I restrict a Peony data room link to certain email domains?
Yes. On Business and above, an allow list limits a link to listed email addresses or domains, and a block list refuses specific ones. Lists hold up to 10,000 entries.
