Plans and Pricing

Peony has five tiers. Viewers are free and unlimited on every plan — you only pay for admins on your own team.

The per-admin prices below are the annual (per-month-equivalent) rates. Monthly billing costs more; the upgrade screen has a Pay monthly / Pay yearly toggle, and yearly saves up to ~35%.

Data Room is the most popular tier. Deal Team requires a minimum of 4 admins. Enterprise is custom and available to selected pilot customers. Email sean@peony.ink to discuss.

What's On the Free Plan

Free is $0 forever. It includes:

• 50 documents, 500 MB of storage, and a 50 MB per-file upload cap.
• Up to 3 admins (owner + 2) before you have to upgrade.
• Page-level analytics, password / email capture, and 3 e-signatures per month.
• A demo data room you can share — but the share link and its analytics expire after 3 days. A live data room that stays open needs Business or above.

Sharing a plain folder link works on Free. Real data rooms, watermarks, screenshot protection, NDAs, and granular permissions start at Business ($30/admin/mo annual) or Data Room ($52/admin/mo annual).

Per-Admin Pricing

You pay per admin (people on your team who manage rooms) — not per viewer. Share with unlimited investors, clients, or counterparties at no extra cost.

Inviting a new admin triggers a pro-rated charge immediately. There is no confirmation step before the charge lands.

Example. You're on Data Room ($52/admin/mo) with one admin. On day 15 of a 30-day cycle, you invite a second admin. Your next invoice:

• $52 for yourself (next cycle)
• $26 pro-rated for the new admin (remaining 15 days)
• $52 for the new admin (next cycle)

Total: $130 next invoice, then $104/month going forward.

If accidental, remove the admin from your workspace Settings (open Invite admin, hover the name, and click the cross) as soon as possible — the seat drops from your next billing cycle. Peony doesn't offer refunds unless a refund was explicitly agreed in writing before purchase, so remove mistaken admins promptly. See Add or Remove Admins.

One admin can run many rooms — billing is per admin, not per data room. If per-seat pricing is a stretch for a solo user, there is no metered/usage-based tier, but longer-term and multi-seat arrangements are flexible. Email sean@peony.ink.

Discounts

• Annual billing — the biggest built-in saving. Yearly is up to ~35% cheaper than monthly, so Business drops from $44 to $30/admin/mo, Data Room from $75 to $52, and Deal Team from $89 to $64.
• Peony Duos referral — refer another company; once they sign up and email your code to sean@peony.ink, you both get 30% off for 2 months.
• Reviews — leave a review and get roughly 20% off for 3 months as a goodwill credit.
• Multi-year / multi-seat — Data Room and above with a 3+ year commitment or 3+ seats can get around 30% off; a 3-seat annual arrangement can run about $25/seat.
• Longer commitments — signing up for 2+ years can earn about 40% off in year 2.

Compliance

• SOC 2-ready — controls aligned to SOC 2; formal Type II audit not yet completed.
• GDPR — compliant.

If Checkout Fails

Stripe checkout occasionally fails for certain card/region combinations.

1. Try a different card (different bank usually works).
2. Still failing? Email sean@peony.ink.
3. You'll get a direct Stripe invoice link, usually same business day.

Common Questions

Why does the price show higher than $30 / $52 / $64? Those are the annual (per-month-equivalent) rates. Monthly billing is higher: Business $44, Data Room $75, Deal Team $89 per admin/mo. Switch to yearly with the Pay monthly / Pay yearly toggle on the upgrade screen — yearly saves up to ~35%. (If you see $44 on Business, that can also be the base plan plus a $10 AI-credits top-up — not a second plan.)

Do existing customers keep their price when pricing changes? Yes. Your rate is locked in, and additional admins you add lock in at your current rate. Moving to yearly or a higher tier later follows the then-current pricing.

Am I charged per viewer, per click, or for storage? No. You pay per admin only. Viewers are unlimited and free, there are no click or recipient limits, and storage has no size fees on paid plans. External viewers do not need a Peony account.

Is there a metered or usage-based plan for a single user? No. There is no metered tier and Peony does not go below its published per-seat pricing (custom sub-Business plans under 3 seats are not offered). Long-term and multi-seat arrangements are flexible — a 3-seat annual plan can run about $25/seat. Email sean@peony.ink.

How do I get a startup or founder discount? There is no automatic startup code, but several discounts exist: the Peony Duos referral (30% off for 2 months), a review credit (~20% off for 3 months), and multi-year / multi-seat deals (~30-40% off). See Discounts.
