Invites or Reminders Aren't Being Delivered

A company's mail gateway is holding Peony's invites, expiry reminders or notifications. Which addresses their IT should allow, how to resend the invite, and how to share the link yourself in the meantime.

Last updated October 23, 2026

When a whole company stops receiving Peony's invites or reminders, the cause is almost always their mail gateway, not the room. Microsoft 365, Mimecast and Proofpoint can all hold mail from a sender they haven't seen before.

What They Should Be Getting

The standard invitation comes from invite@notification.peony.ink, with a button to open the room and the link written out underneath.

Peony sends from three addresses, whatever domain your room uses:

  • invite@notification.peony.ink for invitations
  • updates@notification.peony.ink for notifications
  • verify@notification.peony.ink for codes

1. Ask Their IT to Allow Peony

Ask the recipient's IT team to allow notification.peony.ink. On Microsoft 365, ask them to add peony.ink as an allowed sender domain as well and to release any Peony emails already in quarantine.

2. Resend the Invite

Once IT has allowed the sender, open the room's Permissions tab. Under the group's name in the Groups column, click Resend invite to N. Resending needs the Business plan or above. To resend to one person only, remove them and add them back. See Resend an invite.

Click Copy access link under the group's name and send the URL from your own email. The visitor still passes the same gate and checks.

Missing Reminders or Notifications Yourself?

Expiry reminders go to the link owner and visitor notifications go to your Peony account email. First check the setting in Streamlined access and visitor notifications, then ask your own IT to allow notification.peony.ink.

Common Questions

Which addresses do Peony's emails come from?

Invites come from invite@notification.peony.ink, notifications from updates@notification.peony.ink and codes from verify@notification.peony.ink. That doesn't change with a custom domain or a custom invite email, so ask recipients' IT to allow notification.peony.ink.

Can Peony support resend the invite for me?

You can resend it yourself in one click: open the room's Permissions tab and click Resend invite under the group's name. Support can also check whether the recipient's mail server accepted the email, which tells you if their IT is holding it.
